Last Year of enterprising drummer Erwin Ditzner presented as part of Enjoy Jazz duo project with his current Lömsch Lehmann, supplemented and extended by Jo Bartmes on the Hammond. This year, Ditzner has again come up with something very special. Together with his old and no less busy driving Gramss, Sebastian, whom you not only as a bass player but also as arranger and co-founder of the terrific band Spielwütigen Underkarl praise is never tired, he asked the Grande Dame of free improvising piano avant-garde. Amazingly quick hit from the tranquil Woodstock (USA) as a surprisingly enthusiastic response: Marilyn Crispell, whose distinctive lyricism of Anthony Braxton has been moved once decided in the near Cecil Taylor, can be one of the risk of this very special evening. Anthony Braxton, Erwin Ditzner, Under Karl - on this evening include all sorts of circles over the years consistently and carefully pursued policy program of the festival. Last but not least also the spectacular ECM-emphasis of the program of 2009, because Marilyn Crispell with David Rothenberg, one of the outstanding Albums of the year has presented: "One Dark Night I Left My Silent House" on the ECM.

AK 66/59/41/33/26/22 € Use it or lose it! In April 2010, celebrated his 70th Herbie Hancock Birthday. say "So what?" he will continue to forge and ambitious projects. Artistic recognition and commercial success went to Hancock for "Watermelon Man" (1960) playing hand in hand on the side of Miles Davis, with his own fusion bands and hip-hop experiments like "Rockit". Hancock last album releases and live presence has radically decoupled. Ambitious albums such as "Possibilities" and "River: The Joni Letters" stand alone, while Hancock presents live young talent and uses elements of its rich past. The recording of "The Imagine Project" - his optimistic vision of globalization - gathered in studios on four continents, more than a dozen superstars from different cultures, by Chaka Khan on The Chieftains to Oumou Sangare. Of course, it is such a logistical tour de force live not reproduce, but therein lies the charm of a free spirit like Herbie Hancock. He was concerned about a gesture of openness, tolerance and curiosity. "I'm rooted in jazz, but I feel the same degree in pop, R & B, folk and hip-hop to home," he said in an interview.
